Bungalows

The bungalow park consists of 8 comfortable and stylishly decorated tropical bungalows. These units are all completely furnished with a complete kitchen, stove, fridge, airconditioned bedrooms and a cooling fan in the living room. There is a telephone in each bungalow, wireless internet connection, cable TV with most American stations as well as the Dutch stations, BVNand Talpa. In the peaceful bedrooms there are linens, lamps and a baby cod can be placed for a small fee. You can enjoy the sunrise or sunset on your private porch.

De Plantage offers two types of bungalows. Type 1 (50m2) has one bedroom with a king-size bed, while type 2 (70m2) has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom has two twin-size beds. The interior decoration of both types are similar, both playful and truly Caribbean.

Amenities

On the premises there is a swimming pool with beach chaises and to be used at your convenience. There is also a covered terrace where guests can read, relax and you can have a scrumptious barbeque accompanied by music.
Should you need to do laundry, there is a laundry room present, but you can also leave your clothes behind for dry-cleaning service. The park has a parking lot for (rental) cars and each guest will receive a remote control key to open the gate after hours. During office hours you can always visit the Service Desk for questions, information and reservations to restaurants, attractions and clubs. Other services offered by De Plantage:

Grocery service – prior to arrival you can place an order for certain items and you will find these in the fridge or in the kitchen cabinet upon check-in;
Vacation Library with fun and interesting books you can borrow free of charge;
Manicure & pedicure service in your bungalow.

Location De Plantage

The bungalow complex is located north of the Jan Thiel lagoon, about 7 kms from the capital city of Willemstad. This lagoon is a natural habitat of a large colony of flamingos and once served as a salt exploitation plantation. De Plantage is within minutes from shops, restaurants, nightlife and beaches, but still secluded enough to give you the privacy and well-deserved rest you expect during your holiday. De Plantage is easy to locate following the Caracasbaaiweg, one of the longest main roads on the island. Take the first exit to your right after Caribbean Cargo leading to Landhuis Jan Thiel and De Plantage is100m on your right hand side.

Band´ariba

The eastern part of the island, literally translated as "upwards" is quickly becoming the most important tourist quarter of Curaçao. The peaceful Jan Thiel area is an upscale residential neighborhood, 1 km away from Spanish Water with large mansions and a wide array of water sports activities. Here you can also catch the boat to beautiful and unspoiled Klein Curaçao or a romantic sailing trip. Besides a number of beaches, you can also easily visit attractions as the Seaquarium, Mambo Beach Club, the Ostrich Farm, Fort Beekenburg or Den Paradera, the local herb garden.
Large parts of Band ariba are still rural and the old Curaçao can be found in the little country (kunuku) houses, the friendliness of the people and some small plantations.
