Welcome
A Birdwatchers jungle lodge with comfortable accommodations in a private reserve of 200 hectares at Panama´s tropical rain forest. Caribbean slope of the Panama Canal. A great place for birders, but also for everybody interested in jungle, nature, adventure or just relax.
Accommodations
We have rooms with hot water, ceiling fans and crossed ventilation. You can enjoy the view to the woods in a private balcony with a hammock for the "siesta".
We also have a spacious suite with double bathroom, walking closet and a lovely Jacuzzi with view to the forest.
Located in the well defined and picturesque private reserve of Sierra Llorona, along The Nance´s Trail wooded area, there is an ideal place for relaxation, unwinding, or to enjoy quality family camping time at its absolute best. Always interacting and surrounded by Tropical Rain Forest .
During your stay choose from a variety of activities, all within a very short walk from campsite. Everything from touring the mountain Trails of "Los Nance´s" day or night (classified as moderate to high hiking over a variable terrain, slippery and muddy), to an enjoyable day of swimming at a near by river pool in the middle of the forest.
After enjoying a nice day in the jungle, get together at night around the campfire with your loved ones and friends to tell stories or to make them up, a perfect ending to your day under the quiet starlight sky.
Walking Paths
We have wonderful trails specially designed for you to have a close experience with the tropical rain forest. You will be able to appreciate endemic plants, reptiles, frogs, birds, butterflies, beautiful insects and hear the unique sound of the Howler Monkeys or the mystique silence of the jungle as you walk the trails with our experienced local guide.
Facilities
Our Lodge offers you complete private overnight accommodations, Panamanian cuisine served buffet style, table games, darts, internet and laundry service. We also offer bird watching, historical and cultural tours with English-speaking specialized guides.
Location
From Panama City Take the Trans-Isthmian Highway towards Colon . Drive past a big cement factory (Panama Portland Cement Plant) to your right and start counting bridges; after the fourth bridge, and near the end of a straight stretch of road, turn right at the SANTA RITA ARRIBA / SIERRA LLORONA sign.
