Barbados Beaches

Barbados white sand beaches and pink. The terrain on the island is fairly flat and easy to traverse. Barbados is a coral island, and its sandy beaches are made from coral reefs that have been ground into a fine powder by the ocean´s waves. So is perfect for sinking your toes into.

The beaches on Barbados can be divided into their coastal locations: the north, south, east, and west coasts. 

 

Accra Beach

This beach, the biggest on the south coast, is very popular with locals and tourists. Located near Rockley, it features public changing facilities and a parking lot; snorkeling equipment and beach umbrellas are available for rent. Vendors sell food and handicrafts from booths along the sand.

Bathsheba Soup Bowl

Has been a popular beach for years with both Bajan and vacationing surfers alike, riding the waves at a spot known as "Soup Bowl" in Bathsheba. This picturesque little fishing village becomes a hive of activity several times a year when the surf contests come to town.

 

Crane Beach

Originally a harbour, is considered by many to be one of the island´s most beautiful beaches, in fact, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous rated it as "one of the ten best beaches in the world"! The name "Crane" was derived from the large crane situated at the top of the cliff which was used for loading and unloading ships.
