Belize boasts the longest barrier reef in the western hemisphere and the second largest in the world, along with three major atolls including the famous Blue Hole dive site in the Lighthouse reef atoll. Even though Belize is ranked as one of the top three dive destinations in the Caribbean it has been slower to deveope giving you the luxury of diving uncrowded sites. The majority of dive sites need to be accessed by boat with a few exceptions if you are staying on one of the outer atolls, Tobacco Caye or Southwater Caye. As a diver in Belize you will encounter marine life in all sizes and shapes including 70 types of hard corals and nearly 500 species of fish.

Belize is known for its unique dive opportunities, although a small country, it is nestled along the second largest barrier reef (200 miles / 322 km). Between the mainland and the reef sit more than 450 cayes, islets and islands, including Ambergris Caye.
