Jamaica Beaches

As the third largest Caribbean island (after Cuba and Hispaniola), Jamaica has hundreds of miles of beautiful coastline. The beaches of Jamaica are some of the finest in the Caribbean. Some Jamaica beaches are lively, fun-filled places, packed with young sunbathers listening to loud reggae music, other beaches in Jamaica are serene, secluded stretches of white sand perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

There are top Jamaica beaches in or near all the major resort towns. The long, crescent-shaped Turtle Beach in Ocho Rios is one of the most popular beaches in Jamaica. Like many other Jamaican beaches, it is now surrounded by hotels and resorts.

 Ocho Rios

Turtle Beach

This cozy little coastline features a well-manicured beach shrouded in lush, green, shady palm and almond trees. When you need a break from Turtle Beach´s watersports, or shelter from the sultry island sun, there´s plenty of places to cool off.

James Bond Beach

Physical Description Lots of other beaches found in Jamaica offer pretty views and a tropical setting. Many of these are typically more active, since they are located near major hotels. But, James Bond Beach is a great place for getting away from the pressures of modern life.

Mallards Beach

Lots of other beaches you´ll find in Jamaica offer soft sand, a gorgeous vista, and warm, tropical water. Many of these are more active spots, since they are closer to major hotels. In contrast, Mallards Beach can better be described as a location that´s great for getting away from the pressures of modern life.
